Service Description: The enSPIRE (environmental Surface water Portal for Information Repository and Exchange) data system is designed for MDEQ to manage surface water quality data collected and maintained by MDEQ pursuant to the Clean Water Act ambient monitoring program for planning and assessment purposes ( i.e. ambient fixed station bridge network, ambient fecal network, MBISQ stations etc). enSPIRE WQ sites layer contains sites for monitoring and assessment data and information for MDEQ personnel, the USEPA, planners, developers, stakeholders and the public. This service contains the station locations and descriptions. Some stations predate the enSPIRE system and the Water Quality data for those stations are not readily available through enSPIRE. Some stations are new and their Water Quality data has not yet been published. The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality makes no warranties, expressed or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, currentness, reliability, or suitability for any particular purpose of the data contained here in.
