Description: Section 303(d) of the Clean Water Act requires the state to identify water bodies that do not meet one or more applicable water quality standards and for which TMDLs are needed. This dataset is Mississippi’s Section 303(d) List of Impaired Water Bodies. It identifies impaired water bodies and establishes a priority ranking for such waters, taking into account the severity of the pollution and the uses to be made of the water bodies.
